Question 1

How much is a Godspeed puppy?

Accepted Answer

Text us for pricing on any puppy. We will walk you through everything it takes to give your puppy their furever home.

Question 2

Do you sell to pet homes only?

Accepted Answer

We welcome families seeking a companion and people interested in breeding. Every puppy goes home with full AKC registration and full breeding rights, whichever you are. A companion home is never asked to breed.

Question 3

Do you offer breeding rights?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every puppy is sold with full AKC registration and full breeding rights by default, and that is confirmed in your puppy agreement. You are never required to breed. We talk through your plans first, and we never pair merle to merle.

Question 4

Can I use TANK as a stud?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TANK, our keeper male off of the Chocolate Thunder × PHAT MA litter, is available for stud service. Send us your female’s heat cycle and expected ovulation date and we will line up the timing. Text us for the stud fee and lock-in. AI or surgical only, no natural breedings. In person at Batts in Metairie, Louisiana, or fresh, chilled, and frozen semen shipped to all 50 states.

Question 5

How does the deposit work?

Accepted Answer

The deposit is $500 before 6 weeks and $1,000 at 6 weeks or later. It is credited to the price. A $500 deposit before six weeks locks in the puppy you choose, as long as it is not one of our keepers. The full terms are on the Puppy Policies page.

Question 6

When can puppies go home?

Accepted Answer

Eight weeks, and only when the individual puppy is ready. AKC papers, health records, and starter food go with them. Pickup in Houma. Shipping with an approved transporter may be available for an added fee.

Question 7

Can I choose my puppy first?

Accepted Answer

A $500 deposit before six weeks locks in the puppy you choose, as long as it is not one of our keepers. The free updates list does not set pick order.

Question 8

Do you ship puppies?

Accepted Answer

Pickup in Houma. Shipping with an approved transporter may be available for an added fee. We only move a puppy when it is safe for the puppy.

Question 9

What makes a Godspeed Bulldog different?

Accepted Answer

We keep the program small and personal. Health, structure, temperament, and pedigree guide our pairings. Puppies are raised by our family at our kennel in Houma, and the relationship with your breeder continues for the life of your dog.

Question 10

Are rare colors healthy?

Accepted Answer

Color says nothing about health either way. The AKC standard disqualifies merle from the show ring, and a merle Bulldog can still be fully AKC registered. What matters is the dog: structure, breathing, movement, temperament. We explain merle and how we pair it on The Breed page.

Question 11

What health care and records come with a puppy?

Accepted Answer

Our dogs receive veterinary care, and puppies go home with their veterinary records. Contact us to discuss the care and records for the individual dog. We will walk you through what is available and the written health guarantee.

Question 12

Can I call, or see the dogs before I pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Text first if you like, then we get on the phone or FaceTime from the yard so you meet PHAT MA and the puppies before any money moves. Pickup is in Houma and you are welcome to meet the mother.

Question 13

How do I reserve a puppy?

Accepted Answer

The deposit is $500 before 6 weeks and $1,000 at 6 weeks or later. It is credited to the price. Take-home day is the day they turn eight weeks. The balance is paid in full by then. Before payment, we explain the reservation, pricing, registration, and written terms. Joining the free waitlist alone does not hold a puppy.

Question 14

What does the health guarantee cover?

Accepted Answer

Every Godspeed puppy has a written health guarantee. We review the coverage, exclusions, buyer responsibilities, and available remedies with you in the puppy agreement before placement. Ask us for the agreement so you can review the exact terms.

Question 15

What if I can no longer keep the dog?

Accepted Answer

Call us first. We have first refusal and will help rehome. Do not surrender a Godspeed dog to a shelter.

Question 16

Do English Bulldogs overheat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. They are brachycephalic. Louisiana heat is not casual. Shade, AC, no midday exertion. We will not place a puppy into a home that cannot cool the dog.

Question 17

Do you C-section?

Accepted Answer

English Bulldog litters are typically surgical. That is the breed, not a secret. Timing and recovery are under veterinary guidance.
